Potamotrygon Leopoldi originate from the xingu rivers in South America and can be distinctively identified by their solid black color with white/cream colored spots.
 
Stingrays in the family Potamotrygonidae are all freshwater and bottom-dwelling fish that feed on insects, fish, snails and crustaceans.
